Far down below

so this episode starts like the last 2 have gone, going to saint fuljore's office for another bounty and this time, its to help a realm's population. Saint fuljor got news from a popular water-based realm that the natives say that there is a unidentifiable beast in the waters only titled as "the dreadnought", eating and driving away the local sealife in their costal shore line and nearby oceans. The duo is task to find the beast in the waters and kill it but they raise a question of, how are they gonna do that without drowning? Saint fuljor provided the answer rather fast with a prepared set of water breathing potions he got from a nearby alchemist friend he got in touch. Our duo drink the potions as they prepare to go to the water realm. Saint fuljore activates the water realm portal on a very offshore piece of rock. The duo look to the portal and back to saint fuljore, frostlight asked fuljore if this truly where they would go.

saint fuljore: yes, this is where you two would go because this is the nearest land mass where the portal device can go to. I will forewarn both of you in case...do not dive any further than what the job listed here asks of you. We're reaally unsure where the beast came from-

chatsworth: yeah yeah yeah bossman we get it, dont go deeper than what is recommended because of sea freaks that came from whenever a god's leftover project and they aaalll converge from shared waters across the multiverse and it called the water realm which is completely different from the term water based realms which means realms or worlds that are in the water and more basic ass info. What you think we dont go to school?

saint fuljore:...is it really a bad thing for me to keep briefing on what you will face? Anyways back to the mission...just come back in all limbs

Now the duo has arrive to the specificed location in a pacific somewhere in the water realm. Frostlight and chatsworth make a idea for eachother so they wont get lost

Frostlight: you still have those strings on you chatsworth?

Chatsworth: yes pal i do, wait why did you ask that?

Frostlight: *he overlooks the sea before the rock they're on. Typical crashes of waves onto the next, one could be mistaken for thinking too deeply* i have this idea in my head since me and you are going swim in these...heavier waters that feels no different from space. We may have to tie a knot to bind us so we wont get lost. Waiting for rescuse or...unfornately rot away as fishes dine on our unconsious bodies

Both of them settle for the best course of action would be frostlight's plan. The duo wrap strings around their waist, tied it up for security measures, and to top it off, they drank the water breathing potions as they take a leap into the vast waters below.
The duo submerge themselves into the waters. Reaching deeper than the surface as the lights dim more and more. They feel the gravity taking a toll on their limbs as even the least effort kick drains too much of their will but the potions prevented the cold and the crushing pressure of the deeper zones. Frostlight and chatsworth tug on the other's string to keep going or to be made aware around their surroundings and witnessed many different species of "fishes", ranging from magma fishes who take appearences from a certain realm they went to before, to creatures puffing out pollution in the currents their swimming, to human size but animalistic hunters. The sea life here are from different realms, converging into another realm for wherever the water realm takes them.
after a while of bouncing around in the shallows and avoiding ravines, our duo make to the cliff point of the water realm. The leap leading to the abyss, a mysterious part of the water realm only a few truly cold blooded life forms reside as well as predators to hide, but the duo need to make a quick plan before trying to find the being in there hit list called "the dreadnought"

frostlight: *he digs his sword into the seabed* ok, plan here is simple, we will use our swords to hold on to the walls of the abyss so we wont hopefully be separated and be plankton for some city sized monster lurking for warm blood

chatsworth: are you sure about this?

frostlight: *he darlingly plunges his lower half to the tip of the abyss, he felt a shock went up to his head but clenched his mouth* agh...!...just be with me...and it will all be fine. (encouraging chatsworth with a outreach hand)

chatsworth illuminated his wrist gadget to track this beast, and so our duo descend seamlessly into the darkness of the abyss slowly.

half way down to the abyss accompanied with shiverings and frostlight using whatever warmth left in his wings to consel the shaking chatsworth, the duo start to feel like something abnormally big is watching them descend down. Frostlight being cautious of his surroundings and chatsworth keeping an eye on his wrist watch. Suddenly the wrist watch's arrow made a sharp turn to pointing behind them, the duo slowly turned around to see who it is and lo and behold. Its the dreadnought.
the dreadnought ram itself blind towards its newest heat sensing prey, it targeted to the wall where the duo was holding onto. Chatsworth was able to get out of the way from collision as frostlight did at the same time but the shockwave of the ram caused him to loose his sword grip of the wall, sending him to drift away from the wall with his sword. Chatsworth was then tackled by the dreadnought's front nose in the water as frostlight was carried away by the sweeping force of the currents created by the mass of the dreadnought. Along with it, the string tethering them snaps. Chatsworth was carried away by the leviathan and it maws trying to snag the blue meat inside, towards the unknown space of the twilight zone as frostlight can only watch helpless when he difts away.
As the leviathan attempts to devour chatsworth alive, he was able to get a good grip of the situation and fix his glasses. Taking his sword to poke it and plunge it deep somewhere into the beast's mouth which happened to be it's "lips". The dreadnought recoiled slightly and marred by the scent of it own blood, it shakes chatsworth off of it's trail. From the rapid commotion and quick thinking, chatsworth lets his guard down. Trying to relax and coming up with a fast way to go back to frostlight as he floats down somewhere completely unknown that the dreadnought traveled to as it struggled along with him. In his active mind, he realizes that his sword along with the strings, are all gone and currently inside the dreadnought's lips. Leaving chatsworth completely defenseless by himself.

In a panic , he checks his wrist to see if the device is damage or not. Unsure if the beast will regain it interest in blue meat

chatsworth: (cmon you stupid little thing work with me! I dont wanna find way back to frostlight as a bunch of shredded guts and bossman seeing me like that! I NEED TO GO TO HOME BEING ALIVE AND WELL CMON CMON CMON!!)

the device barely function but is rapidly losing power. In its final moments, the device points somewhere instead of the dreadnought's position to the left of chatsworth, a oddly large crevice on the side of the twilights walls. Leading to somewhere forgotten by time itself. He takes a moment if he should trust his device to a possible deathtrap

back to frostlight who is currently tussling with the massive creature. Sending multiple slash waves to make use of the strange environment at the dreadnought. It thrashes around to secure the winged meat as both fight nearly teeth to teeth
chatsworth looks back to his device one more time in which it signals a relic in the crevice before shutting down completely. In desperate need of a new weapon to put up a fighting chance, he decides to follow the path that the crevice lead him to hopefully find something to assist frostlight with and easily swim his back.
After swaying around erroded edges of teal, chatsworth has finally come to the other side of the large crevice and what he saw is a wreckage dating to a old civilization who lived in the twilight zone. Filled with buildings merging with the sea walls, destroyed statues and in the center of this "town" is a quite frankly big temple. Chatsworth tentativly swim through the abandoned place, he sees a illumination trail here like bioluminescent underwater street lamps. Making a way for him...to a once pious temple as corals grown in haywire, chatsworth takes his time examining what used to live here. propelling forwards inside the temple filled with paintings of this old civilization. Showing that in this temple, the people of the city worship a great god of the seas by the way of a imposing figure wearing some kind of crown in the wall's murals. Chatsworth takes his time to analyse and touch these depictions, going into his teachings about the gods he was meant believe in, but never actual proof like this
at the end of this temple, he finds something coverd in a thick layer of seaweed and the surroundings decorated more than ever. Tearing away to satiate his curiosity and reveal what is underneath the seaweed and coral. Shining still after untold millenials, peeking underneath as chatsworth is briefly blinded but not stopping there. Suddenly the seaweed no longer feels soft to rip, more corse and it has indentions or patterns engraved into it's being. With a tumultuous hold, chatsworth gets hold of the relic. His arm reeling back but he felt a normal sense of gravity and weight around him. A blessed glow from the depicted god of the abyss. The tridensula
when chatsworth holds the trident in his palms, it begins to glow with surging power. Tasting a reinvigorating sensation, he simply pointed the trident towards the rocky entrance and exit of the temple. The relic craved to the command as bursts of the currounding water propelled chatsworth forwards yet his body didn't collaspe under immense pressure. Figuring out quickly he can control the flow of where the trident leads to. Turning his wrist slightly and bulldozing tight crevives. Back to the twilight zone
Frostlight been holding his uneven ground or water against the dreadnought's maws but he is almost at a lost here. His consciousness can barely hold on for much long due to the effects of the water resistant on the verge of fading. The dreadnought comes in for one last bash to frostlight before it was push away by a mega rush of water like a jet turbine. Chatsworth with the trident in hand, quickly drag frostlight out of the water, reaching the surface lights with no problem and onto a piece of land. which is the same big offshore rock.
As chatsworth was hauling frostlight's body to the rock, the dreadnought followed it pursuit without quitting, crossing even beyond the twilight zone. He didnt expect this thing to be so persistent and with a heavy inhale of air, he plunges back down but with a new trusted source of offense. Left to face the dreadnought by himself with his new weapon in hand, as both beings fiercely begin to clash in the twilight zone. Chatsworth making pressured water bolts that blow off chunks of flesh from the dreadnought but even those didn't even stop the beast from trying to eat him. After a while of fighting, he came up with an idea to take advantage of the dreadnought's tendency of ramming into use.
luring the dreadnought into a sea wall that has a monolith on its edge. The dreadnought giving chase again to eat chatsworth as it prepares another slam, he got out of the way when the dreadnought tackles headfirst into the wall as the monolith falls. Chatsworth uses the water current ability to get a hold of the monolith as the behemoth makes one last rush. The behemoth makes one last mighty charge to the sack but when it was about to eat him, the monolith comes piercing down to the dreadnoughts whole body. The predator once livid, slowly sinks back to the abyssal waters where the interconnected seas will claimed it. Chatsworth grabbed one of its tooth as a sign of proof to saint fuljore, touching the roughness of it. Back at the offshore rock, frostlight wakes up wondering what happened, shaking his head full of salt and unnamed minerals until chatsworth came on top of the rock to make sure he is alright and to kinda flex his new weapon right infront of the newly awakened frostlight

frostlight: *pinching his brow* 𝘢𝘩𝘩𝘩𝘩𝘩𝘩 what did i missed out chatsworth?....Last thing i remember is that...i almost thought i...you were...dead or something....i cant forgive myself ever again if it happened...

chatsworth: weeelll long story my friend and WAY too long exposition, like a VERY long story of how i lost my weapon but ended up getting a new one! *somehow he spins the trident around like it just a twig*

Back the office, frostlight is covered in a thick towel to warm him up as chatsworth recalls to saint fuljore about how they got dreadnought's tooth and the new shiny trident on his back

chatsworth: and that's how i got this new relic and killed the dreadnought boss!.

saint fuljore: isn't that a nice story you got there. I will give my dues because you two clearly experienced alot today. It just, great job you two are still alive. I am sincerely happy you all are

chatsworth: also one more thing boss.

saint fuljore: what is it chatsworth?

chatsworth: can i keep this weapon? You can have the tooth.

saint fuljore: sure my great hunter. I hope that weapon will assist you with many more hunts to come as long as it doesnt come with some...unknown cost to it

chatsworth: roger that boss!

frostlight: *shivering from the cold* can we go home now?

Dismissed by the boss, the duo went home on the way, with chatsworth already making tricks with the trident. Attempting to command a stray puddle but to no effect but it didnt deter chatsworth from testing out which fluids work and dont once they're home
